First Working Group with Cassandra Silver

September 16th 2016, 2-4pm

This was our very first working group session in which we started with responding to the findings, methodologies and challenges in Janelle Reinelt’s 2014 article, “What UK spectators know: Understanding how we come to value theatre.”

CSAR director, Cassandra Silver then led a presentation and discussion, inviting responses to her work on spectatorship and action, looking at the conceptual differences of watching and doing, as part of her thesis. Finally, we shared suggested themes for the remainder of the 2016/2017 academic year and invite participant feedback about potential readings and presenters that might best correspond to them.
