Being Together with he Kick & Push Festival

This Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council-funded project partnered with the Kick & Push Festival in Kingston, ON from 2021-2023. Working with Artistic Producer Liam Karry and the K&P team, Dr. Kelsey Jacobson and her research assistants conducted over seventy interviews with audience members spanning a two-year period to investigate questions about co-presence and what it meant and felt like for audiences to gather together to watch live performance following pandemic lockdowns. Artists and shows included The Lakeside Players (Robinhood), Bad New Days (Return of the Megafauna), The Art Folk Collective (Roll Models) and Re: Current Theatre (New Societies).
